Rock Valley Golf Performance Program
The primary goal of the Rock Valley Golf Performance Program is to recognize your restrictions in the golf swing and to give you the knowledge to correct them. This program is done through a team approach which consists of 3 professionals that are essential to becoming a complete golfer: the golf professional, the golf physical therapist, and the personal trainer. In the Rock Valley Golf Performance Program, we focus on the golf physical therapy and personal training portion of your game.
The golf physical therapist is ideally suited to look at the way your body moves and can evaluate if there are any weaknesses or restrictions that could result in an inconsistent swing. The personal trainer is devoted to improving the strength and control of your everyday golf game by incorporating key golf movement patterns into your workout. The last and most important component of your golf game is the golf professional.
The Rock Valley Golf Performance Program can give you the tools and exercises to become a more controlled and powerful golfer but if you don't have skilled direction from a golf pro, you are neglecting a key portion of your game. Here is a summary of the team:
- Golf Professional - Most important person on the team who will work on your golf game from the skill level.
- Golf Physical Therapist - The biomechanics expert. This person will look at your body and swing as a whole to determine a specific plan of care keeping in mind injuries, past medical history, pain, and surgeries. This person can analyze and correct all forms of restrictions coming from the spine, hips, shoulders, and ankles through a variety of techniques. After analyzing all restrictions and weaknesses, the therapist is able to prescribe specific exercises for your deficits.
- Golf Trainer - You know what your issues are, now you need to target and fix them. A golf trainer will target key muscle groups to provide you with the tools to have the most efficient swing possible
