Honored and excited: Rock Valley Physical Therapy setting down roots in Rochelle

Hoping to serve and care for the amazing people of Rochelle and surrounding areas for decades to come, Rock Valley Physical Therapy is bringing to life the newest member of the family.

Located at 234 May Mart Drive, Rock Valley’s Rochelle clinic will open its doors Monday, Aug. 5.  The public is invited to share in a ribbon cutting Thursday, Aug. 22 at 1 p.m.

The site is led by a gifted, compassionate, and knowledgeable therapist in Jonathan Staab, PT, DPT, BFR, Staab will guide Rochelle after serving Rock Valley Physical Therapy at its PCI clinic at Marion, Iowa.

The chance to captain his own clinic, to build a “Making Better Lives’’ foundation in a great town, has Staab, the husband and a father of two, excited about what stands before him.

“This is a type of city where you want your family to set roots and continue to enjoy life as the years go by,’’ said Staab, whose wife, Sumayya, will serve as the head coach for the Rochelle high school dance team and is an instructional coach at the high school.

Founded in 1984, Rock Valley Physical Therapy features 60-plus clinics covering Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska. It is one of the largest therapist-led and therapist-owned private physical therapy practices in the nation, employing over 500.

The Rochelle clinic will offer services in orthopedic injuries, balance and fall prevention, concussion management, vestibular therapy, blood-flow restriction therapy, tactical conditioning for military, fire, and police, chronic pain, sports injuries, running video analysis, geriatrics, hypermobility syndromes, post-surgical rehab, and workers compensation.

“I am ecstatic about bringing myself, my family, and Rock Valley to be a part of Rochelle for decades to come,’’ said Staab. “This is a fantastic opportunity I have been given, for which I am grateful. My goal is once you come to physical therapy, I aim to be your lifetime provider.’’
