Luke’s post-graduate certifications include the ASTYM technique.  He is an active member in the Illinois Physical Therapy Association (IPTA) and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA.)  He is an avid sports fan and enjoys fishing, traveling to Walt Disney World, and spending time with his wife, Liz, and two children.

What made you decide on this career?
"Having a mother that is a registered nurse, I always knew that I was interested in the health fields, but never knew exactly where I fit.  That all changed when I was a junior in high school, fractured my hand in a basketball game, and required physical therapy afterwards.  Physical therapy meshed my love for sports with my interest in medicine and was the perfect choice for me."

What is the thing you love most about your job?
"I believe that in life we are all given gifts and that mine is to share what I know with my patients to help them recover from their injuries.  The opportunity to help our patients through these difficult times in their lives and get them better is tremendously internally rewarding and a true blessing.  The people that walk through our door may start out as patients, but they leave as friends.  I am fortunate that I can say that I truly love what I do!"
