Along her outstanding career path, Rummery, the athletic trainer at Bettendorf High School, has earned the Mid America Athletic Trainers’ Association (MAATA D5) Young Professional Distinction Award and the Iowa Athletic Trainers’ Society’s Secondary School Athletic Trainer of the Year.
The ever-dedicated Rummery earned her undergraduate degree in athletic training from Texas State University and a Master’s of Kinesiology with emphasis in Athletic Training, from Illinois State University.
“My passion for this profession, and the people who make it up, is what motivates me,’’ said Rummery. “Without active participants in Iowa Athletic Trainer’s Society (IATS), we operate as a shell. I hope to be the kind of leader who can encourage, empower, and engage members. My goal would be that others see growth in their personal and professional networks across the great state of Iowa.’’
Jessica will take over the President Elect duties in May 2024 and serve two years. In May of 2026, she will step into the role as IATS President for the remaining two years.
