Allie grew up in the country outside Low Moor, IA and currently resides in Davenport, IA with her husband and two children. Allie received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from St. Ambrose University. She graduated with her Masters in Occupational Therapist in 2012. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, reading, baking, and volunteering in the community.
Why did you become an Occupational Therapist?
When I was younger, I observed many therapists with my family. I knew the healthcare field was a calling for me. When I saw how function was incorporated within OT and how we assist with people getting back to their highest functional level, I knew that was what I wanted to do.
What are you involved with in your community?
I founded a non-for-profit organizational chapter in Eastern Iowa known as Eastern Iowa Fishing Has No Boundaries. I am active within my kid’s daycare, the Empower House and Trinity Lutheran Church.
