Jenilee is from Perkins and Box Butte counties and currently resides near Hemingford, NE. Jenilee received their undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in Animal Science and her Master of Science degree from the University of Nebraska Kearney in Speech-Language Pathology. Outside of work, she enjoys helping her four children with their 4-H projects & helping her husband Lee on their ranch.
Why did you become a therapist?
I became a speech therapist to help others in our community. When our twins were two years old, they both needed speech services, but because of the shortage of SLP’s in our area, they could not receive services face-to-face. I decided that I needed to be a change and wanted to help other families in the same situation, so I went back to school and became a Speech-Language Pathologist.
What are you involved in your community?:
Our family is heavily involved with Box Butte County 4-H, youth basketball and football, and faith formation at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church. We seem to be on the go a lot of the time so we can be found at most community events.
