Kala is from Pocahontas, IA and currently resides in Grimes, IA. Kala received her undergraduate degree from St. Ambrose University and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Des Moines University. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her 2 young boys and family, exercising, and being outdoors. She also enjoys cooking, live music and spending time at the lake.
Why did you become a Physical Therapist?
I’ve always had a passion for exercise, wellness, and people. Physical therapy fits the bill perfectly. I get to teach people about exercise in a way that will help them heal, grow, and live a better life.
What are you involved with in your community?
I’m an active member of the Ankeny Chamber of Commerce and administers sports screenings for local teams and organizations.
