June is the month to share LOVE. Let’s start with sharing how important it is to love and take good care of your body with our family and friends! An easy way to start taking care of your health is by incorporating these 4 simple things into your day; EAT, HYDRATE, SLEEP, and MOVE.
- Fueling your body well can make a huge difference in how you feel. Start simple and fill your plate with colors by adding more fruits and veggies to your plate. The American Heart Association recommends eating 4-5 servings of both fruit and veggies per day.
- Stay hydrated by chugging your water especially on those hot summer days. A few ways to help your intake by drinking with a straw, adding fruit for flavor, and trying a new fun water bottle.
- Sleep is essential and establishing a sleep routine this summer will improve your overall health. The National Institute of health recommends adults aim for 7 or more hours per night.
- Getting you MOVING is our focus for the month of June. We want to encourage you to strive to be an ACTIVE FAMILY. June 12th is Family Fitness & Health Day! Mark your calendars and set a goal to MOVE as a family.
