Energy, enthusiasm and patient care will be benchmarks of Rock Valley Physical Therapy’s Kimberly & NW clinic

Kelly Kersten, an energetic and always-enthusiastic sort, says he cannot wait.

Kersten, PT, DPT, SCS, ATC/L, Clinic Manager, will serve as the manager for one of Rock Valley Physical Therapy’s two new Davenport, Iowa-based clinics.

Located at 900 W. Kimberly Road Suite B, doors in the clinic nestled in Davenport’s Northwest corridor, are slated to open in October.

“We are all looking forward to caring for our wonderful patients in Davenport,’’ said Kersten, who did his undergraduate work at Iowa State University, then earned his masters degree from the University of Kansas and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from St. Ambrose University.

“Making sure patient needs are met through compassionate care is a priority. Everyone is excited at what the future brings in such a great setting.’’

Kersten says the Kimberly Road outlet brings a group of talented and caring therapists to the table, specializing  in ACL and rotator-cuff rehabilitation, dry needling, vestibular therapy, occupational therapy, neuro and pediatric therapy. The clinic will also have experts who work with the aging adult, with balance and fall prevention, Parkinson’s and caring for the patient with an amputation, just to name a few.

“Our team is excited at the opportunity to better the lives of those in need,’’ added Kersten, noting, no referral is needed to seek  physical therapy assistance. “We also have athletic trainers and return-to-sport programs.’’

The Kimberly Road site joins Dexter Court (3385, Dexter Court); Five Points (1700 N Division, Suite 200 ); and a new-construction clinic at 4500 53rd Street, Suite 200, as Rock Valley Physical Therapy’s Davenport-based sites. One of the largest therapist-owned and led private PT practices in the nation, Rock Valley features 62 clinics across Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska.
