Home sweet home: Rock Valley’s return to flagship site is about relationships, making better lives

In October, Chad Humphrey and a host of dedicated Rock Valley Physical Therapy family members, will be “Making Better Lives’’ in a setting near and dear to their hearts.

For Humphrey,  PT, MPT, OCS, Senior Clinic Manager, Rock Valley’s 43rd Ave site  (Moline, Ill.) was home for the lion’s share of his first two decades as a member of the RVPT family. He returns to the gorgeous, newly renovated site, featuring a bevy of updated treatment rooms, a state-of-the art gymnasium and an updated front-office and waiting area.

“I’m excited to return to the clinic where I spent the first 18 of my 20 years with Rock Valley,’’ said Humphrey, a Cambridge, Ill, resident, who earned his undergraduate degree from Augustana College in Biology and received his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from Washington University School of Medicine, at St. Louis, Mo.

Over the past two-plus decades, Humphrey, forever-personable and passionately dedicated to bettering the lives of those he serves, has played a major role in Rock Valley Physical Therapy becoming a premier physical therapy practice, recognized nationally for its care.

Rock Valley Physical Therapy features 61 clinics across Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska. It employs nearly 500.

Specialties covered by Rock Valley therapists “Making Better Lives’’ at 43rd, are: Vestibular therapy, dry needling, hand therapy, running analysis, throwing analysis, return to sport testing, sports medicine, balance/falls, post operative care, bike-fit for cyclists, TMD (jaw pain) and chronic pain.

Humphrey says great patient care – the standard by which Rock Valley has operated in its 38 years –  will be the clinic’s primary focus.

“Our team will be providing patient-centered care, working to improve the quality of life for those in our communities,” added Humphrey, noting anyone seeking physical therapy does not need a physician’s referral. “We provide exceptional care that is easily accessible and directed toward the goals of our patients. Our staff at Rock Valley appreciate and value the relationships created with our patients and are excited to show off our updated space here at 43rd Ave in Moline.’’
