Pelvic Floor Therapy

Pelvic health therapists have enhanced their education to specialize in the pelvis, comprehending how all the pieces work as an intricate whole.

What is Pelvic Floor Therapy?

Today, physical therapists focus on understanding the problems and impairments of an individual’s needs. Pelvic health therapists have enhanced their education to specialize in the pelvis, comprehending how all the pieces work as an intricate whole. Struggling individuals often feel misunderstood in the complexity of their problems.

Our therapists work hard to build a trusting relationship and truly comprehend your needs. Often, “what is common, is not normal,” and we help to recognize these impairments. We get to the bottom of the issue, providing opportunities for a solution, a plan, and ultimate recovery.

What to Expect During Pelvic Floor Therapy

Pelvic floor therapy begins with a private, respectful conversation about your symptoms, medical history, and goals. Your therapist may perform a gentle physical assessment—external or internal, depending on your comfort—to evaluate muscle strength, coordination, and function. From there, you’ll receive a personalized treatment plan that may include exercises, manual therapy, education, and strategies to improve bladder, bowel, or sexual function. Your comfort and trust are our top priorities every step of the way.
