Meet Allen Hamilton

PTA

Allen is from Stanton, IA and currently resides in Marion, IA. Allen went to the University of Iowa in Iowa City and received his Bachelor of Exercise Science degree, than went on to Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids and received his Physical Therapist Assistant degree. Outside of work he enjoys running/jogging 5ks, Farmer Markets, or finding new local coffee shops.

Why did you become a Therapist?

My Aunt has multiple sclerosis. I would go to her home and stretch her for an hour. I met with the therapist that would treat her and started talking to them about career in therapy. Afterwards, I became a Tech/Aide for Rock Valley and the job would increase my passion for becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant.

What are you involved in in your community?

I am part of a Running Club in Cedar Rapids to promote running is for everyone. I joined the club during my time in Kirkwood and I have continue to be part of the club.
