Beth Schweizer

Meet Beth Schweizer

PT, MSPT

Beth is a proud Iowa native from Des Moines. She has been practicing physical therapy for nearly 30 years and about half that time at Rock Valley PT in West Des Moines. As a runner, coach, and competitor, she understands well the runner’s body and mentality. Training for many marathons, trail races and road races of all kinds gives her a unique perspective on helping active runners, competitors and everyday athletes recover from injuries, illnesses and getting back to doing the activities they love and need to do.

Her passion and specialties also extend to Amputee Performance Training, Women’s Health and Blood Flow Restriction Training.

Why did you become a Therapist?

I have always been interested in the medical field and work as an athletic trainer at ISU inspired me to explore physical therapy for a career. I am very blessed to do a job I love.
