Meet Brett Velasquez

PT, DPT

Brett is from Bennington, NE and currently resides in Omaha, NE. Brett received their undergraduate degree from St. Cloud State University in Biomedical Science and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Iowa. Outside of work Brett enjoys exercising, getting outdoors, coaching, watching sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.

Why did you become a therapist?

I initially became interested in physical therapy after experiencing a baseball related elbow injury when I was in 7th grade. Following my own personal experience with physical therapy and seeing the positive impact that the profession had on other individuals in my life over the next few years, I took the opportunity to shadow and learn from many great therapists across a handful of different clinical settings. I loved the idea of being able to help other individuals get back to their normal life.
