Meet Colton Smith

PT, DPT, OCS, CMT, ATC, Cert DN

Colton is from Kearney, Missouri and currently resides in Des Moines. Colton received their undergraduate degree from Central College in Pella, Iowa and received his Physical Therapy degree from Des Moines University. Outside of work he enjoys any outdoor activity, following Kansas City sports, and time with friends and families.

Why did you become a Therapist?

As a teenager, I was struck with a rare neurological condition called Guillain-Barre syndrome that left me temporarily paralyzed. Throughout my recovery process I encountered a number of passionate and caring physical therapists that left me inspired to help others regain function as I had been helped. I became intrigued by the bodies healing capabilities. I found a career that I can educate and empower individuals to return to optimal function while having fun.
