Emma is from Van Meter, IA and currently resides in Waukee, IA. Emma received her undergraduate and Master’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as hiking and working out.
Why did you become an Athletic Trainer?
I became an Athletic Trainer because I’m passionate about sports and helping people. I enjoy supporting young athletes through injury prevention, rehabilitation, and return to play. Being able to build trust, make an impact behind the scenes, and help athletes stay healthy and perform at their best is what makes the profession so meaningful to me.
What are you involved in in your community?
In undergrad I was involved in sorority life as well as dance marathon. Most of my time in these two organizations were spent volunteering and raising money for the U of I Children’s Hospital as well as RMHC.
