Meet JoAnn Green

PT, MSPT

JoAnn Green is from Clarinda, lowa and currently resides in Urbandale. JoAnn received their undergraduate degree from lowa State University in Psychology and received their Masters in Physical Therapy from University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences now known as DMU. Outside of work she enjoys reading, running, playing with grandkids, and traveling.

Why you became a Physical Therapist?
I've always been fascinated by science and understanding how the human body works. Physical therapy gave me the opportunity to combine passion with helping people improve their lives and achieve goals they may have thought were out of reach. Specializing in pelvic floor therapy has been meaningful because it has allowed me to focus on women's health throughout every stage of life and it is increasingly rewarding to help women overcome challenges.

What are you involved with in your community?
Much of my community involvement centers around education and service. I enjoy educating the public about health, speaking at state conferences, and mentoring physical therapy students through clinical experiences with Des Moines University. I also volunteer at the Des Moines Marathon and other local running events, and I'm an active member of my church.
