Kara is from Omaha, NE and currently resides in Adel, IA. She received her BS degrees in Occupational Therapy and Psychology from St. Ambrose University and began working in OT in 1997. In April of 1999, Kara began specializing in Hand Therapy obtaining her CHT in Fall of 2003. Outside of work she enjoys time spent with her husband and 2 teenage sons, friends, outdoor sports, gardening, all things physical fitness and cheering on the Huskers.
Why did I become an Occupational Therapist?
I always had my eyes set on being a Pediatrician but along the way I came across an article with the differences/similarities between PT/OT and I landed on OT.
What are you involved with in your community?
I help coach my son’s basketball team, volunteer for his school’s parent committees, and attends Lutheran Church of Hope.
