Why did you become an Occupational Therapist?
I became an Occupational Therapist because an amazing OT once helped me find my voice again - literally. After overcoming vocal cord dysfunction in high school and being able to swim and run competitively again, I discovered not only healing, but a purpose. What once felt like my biggest challenge became the reason I chose this path. Now, I get to help other find their voice, just like someone once helped me find mine. It is my passion to empower others and help them feel confident in their own bodies so they can get back to doing what they love!
What are you involved with in your community?
I teach pelvic floor workshops at local gyms and events to educate and bring my community together around the topic of pelvic health, creating a safe space for learning, support, and advocacy.
