Meet Kristen McGown

PT, DPT, ATC, LAT

Kristen is from Ankeny, IA and currently resides in Johnston, IA. Kristen received her undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Des Moines University. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends and being active outside with biking, running, and boating. 

Why you became a Physical Therapist?
I decided to become a Physical Therapist because of the positive experiences I received through my own care as a patient and all of the opportunities this career provides. Becoming a physical therapist has been very rewarding with ongoing learning and has allowed me to help others meet goals and return to their prior level of activity. 

What are you involved with in your community?
I am involved with the Miracle League in Des Moines, and participate in philanthropic activities through Rock Valley within central Iowa.
