Why did you become a Physical Therapist?
In 7th grade I broke my leg in a wrestling match which brought me into the physical therapy setting for the first time. I had other sports-related injuries throughout high school that kept me coming back to the same therapist in rural Northern Iowa. Throughout those years I received wonderful care from my physical therapist, who even took time out of his schedule to drive to my state football game to tape my ankle and lead me through warm-ups so that I could participate in the championship. Those experiences instilled in me a desire to help others return to the activities they love, just as my PT had done for me.
What are you involved with in your community?
I am an active member and leader at the church I attend in Iowa City and I enjoy volunteering with various organizations and events in the area.
