Meet Kyle Merten

PT, DPT

Kyle is from Bettendorf, IA and currently resides in Donahue, IA. Kyle received his undergraduate degree from St. Ambrose University in Exercise Science and received his Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from The University of Iowa. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, camping, baseball, and spoiling his kids.

Why did you become a Physical Therapist?
I initially grew an interest in physical therapy through my own sports injuries. As I started to explore career options in high school and college, I was lucky to have some therapists reveal to me the importance of the profession and the impact it can have on a person’s ability to return to the activities they love. With my active lifestyle, it has given me a chance to practice what I preach in the clinic. It’s a great environment and something new every day!

What are you involved with in your community?
Local softball leagues, church groups.
