Meet Kylie Lucas

M.S., CCC-SLP

Kylie is from Canton, IL and currently resides in Bettendorf, IA. Kylie received her undergraduate degree from Monmouth College in Psychology and received her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Saint Ambrose University. Outside of work she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and two children.

Why did you become a Therapist?

My cousin has Down Syndrome and started stuttering later on in life. I started to explore why and what could be done to help. It was then that I discovered Speech-Language Pathology and I knew that I had found my calling. I always knew that I wanted to help people and with my Psychology degree, becoming a Speech Language Pathologist made sense! I have enjoyed serving the community by helping individuals learn to speak for the first time or to relearn how to speak following a medical event.
