Meet Laura Hinspeter

Clinic Experience Associate

Laura is originally from Dewitt, IA and currently resides in Waukee with her husband, Brian. They have three adult children. As a graduate of Wartburg College (BME), Laura is a private vocal music educator at her home studio - L.A.H. Music Studio, often contracted as an adjudicator and clinician for MS & HS programs around Iowa. Laura also enjoys spending quality time with family & friends, attending musical theater productions, and quilting. Laura is an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Wartburg Knights, Iowa & Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears & the Indiana Fever.

What are you involved in in your community?

I recently served on leadership teams for the Waukee Girls Swim & Dive Parent Organization, the Waukee Vocal Music Boosters and the Wartburg College Alumni Board. I stay active with those organizations, but my official placement on those boards has come to a close now that our children have graduated! This year marks my 10^th year as an adjudicator for the Iowa HS Musical Theater Awards program through the Des Moines Performing Arts. I volunteer at Lutheran Church of Hope; I especially enjoy VBS! I am also a member of Hope Quilters & the Des Moines Area Quilters Guild where both organizations provide many opportunities for outreach.
