Meet Lauren Zust

MPP-D, RD, LD

Lauren has lived in the Quad Cities area for the majority of her life and currently resides in Davenport, IA. Lauren received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics from Purdue University and received her Master’s Degree in Professional Practice in Dietetics from Iowa State University. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, trying out new recipes, reading and traveling.

Why did you become a registered dietitian? 
I have always wanted to work in a setting that involved health care and helping individuals make healthier, practical choices for disease prevention and weight maintenance. My goal as a dietitian is to communicate nutrition science in ways that clients can easily understand and apply in positive ways in their own lives. I enjoy providing education about mindful eating and helping clients develop a healthier relationship with food – it’s great to know that I am making a difference to help individuals make positive dietary changes while still being able to include foods that they enjoy!
