Mariane is originally from Carlos Barbosa, Brazil. Outside of work Mariane enjoys watching sports and hanging out with friends and family.

Why did you become an Athletic Trainer?

I have always liked taking care of people, helping them stay healthy, and I have always been passionate about sports, so having both of these together in a professional environment is everything I’ve always wanted. When you work with something you like, it is very easy to be happy and make people around you smile, and that is one of the things that brings me the most joy.

What are you involved in in your community?

I teach water aerobics and strength conditioning for senior citizens and help out at the community garden.
